But sometimes you need extra sounds which aren’t on board—a percussive sound on the back beat, the super low of an ’808 kick layered over your acoustic kick, or even vocals and backing tracks that can’t be recreated on the kit.

Roland’s TM-2 Trigger Module lets you quickly fill in the gaps in your acoustic palette. The small module comes pre-loaded with drum and percussion sounds, but it can also be loaded with your own samples for maximum versatility when performing.

When used with a kit from the V-Drums TD-25 Series, the TM-2 lets you layer extra sounds on the kick and snare (or on any drum/cymbal). Alternatively, just add some extra pads to expand the number of sounds available from your V-Drums kit.

The TM-2 module doesn’t only work with V-Drums either. If you’re gigging with acoustic drums, adding the TM-2 makes it easy to layer electronic sounds and samples over your acoustic drum sound, or you can even expand the number of sounds available from your acoustic kit by connecting the module to some electronic drum pads.
