Q.How can I assign input signals (routing or patching) to the UA-101's output jacks 1 - 8 and digital output jack?

A.Use the UA-101 Patchbay/Routing application on the computer to assign each input signal on the UA-101's input jacks to output jacks 1-8 and the digital output jack.

You can arrange these settings from UA-101 Control Panel. (UA-101 Control Panel is installed together with the driver when you install the UA-101 driver.)

The main window of UA-101 Control Panel is shown below.

Click the PATCH BAY button located in the upper right of the UA-101 Control Panel, and a dialog box will appear. This allows you to make patch bay settings. Once the settings have been edited from the default setting, the PATCH BAY button will be lit.

Here you can select the input signals that are going to be assigned to each UA-101 output jack. You can choose the input signals from the following and assign them to each output jack of the UA-101.

  • Five stereo channels of audio data coming out of the computer (WAVE OUT 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10)
  • The input signals arriving at the UA-101's analog input jacks 1--8 and digital input jack (INPUT 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10)
  • The UA-101's MONITOR OUT
