Q.Can I send the SP-606’s internal audio signal to a computer via USB?

A.Yes, you can.

With the factory setting, only the INPUT SOURCE signal (the signal connected to the SP-606’s AUDIO INPUT or DIGITAL IN jacks) is output to the computer via USB. In this case, you can apply an effect such as MFX to the INPUT SOURCE signal and send out the processed signal via USB.

Use the following procedure to set all of the SP-606's internal sounds (i.e., the same audio signal that is sent to the OUTPUT jacks) to be transmitted via USB:

  1. Press [MENU] to access the top menu screen.
  2. Use the cursor buttons to select the "4:USB Audio/MIDI" line, and then press [ENTER]. The USB AUDIO/MIDI screen will appear.
  3. Use the cursor buttons to select "USB Audio Output Src," and then turn the VALUE dial to change the setting:
    • OFF---Nothing will be output via USB.
    • INPUT---Only the INPUT SOURCE audio signal will be output to USB.
    • MIX---The same audio signal arriving at the SP-606’s OUTPUT and PHONE jacks will be output to USB.
  4. Press [EXIT] to return to the Play screen.

* If you pass the audio signal through your computer, be aware that the audio signal may cause a feedback loop.

* The following diagram shows the audio signal flow of the USB output/input.
