Sampling Workstation

Q.Can you explain the modes of the SP-606's sequencer?

A.The SP-606's sequencer has two different modes: "Pattern" and "Song."

A pattern consists of 1-32 measures of performance data that specifies the timing at which samples (pads) are played. A pattern consists of four “parts” (tracks), in which separate performances can be recorded. You can select and play patterns in succession, mute pattern parts individually, and play the pads in realtime along with the pattern playback.

A song consists of multiple patterns that are chained together in the desired playback order. A song can contain up to 999 steps (patterns). You can also record muting operations for each track, and play the pads in realtime along with the song playback.
