MIDI Keyboard Controller

Q.Even though I'm not touching the keyboard or knobs of the PCR series, the PCR seems to be transmitting some kind of MIDI message. What is it, and can this message be turned off?

A.The PCR series (except for the PCR-1) constantly transmits Active Sensing (the MIDI message FE) at approximately 0.25 seconds interval even if you're not touching the keyboard or knobs. It is not possible to disable transmission of Active Sensing messages.

The PCR series can be set to transmit Timing Clock (F8) messages to control the tempo or H-ACTIVITY (low note data) messages in the system settings. But you can set the PCR’s Timing Clock or H-ACTIVITY messages transmission to off in the system settings.

For details, refer to the owner's manual of your PCR series.
