Q.On the VF-1, can I preserve the lingering reverb and/or delay "tails" when switching patches?

A.When a new patch is selected on the VF-1, any audio that is being processed by the previous patch is cancelled. Therefore, any lingering reverb and/or delay decay "tails" are not preserved when the new patch is selected.

A VF-1 patch is a combination of effects called an "algorithm." By using the Control Assign function, you can use an optional foot switch or an external MIDI device to turn a specific effect (or effects) on and off within the patch. When the VF-1's reverb or delay effects are turned off in this way (within the patch), any lingering decay tails will continue to sound.
