[ Version 1.11 ]
Bug Fixes
The following bugs Were fixed.
  • A sound source recorded as a Polyphonic WAV file (4, 6, or 8 channels) cannot be imported properly into Pro Tools or other software.
    * Even after you update your R-88 to Version 1.11, polyphonic WAV files recorded using a R-88 of Version 1.10 cannot be imported properly to software.
  • When TIMECODE OUTPUT is set to REPRO, a timecode is output although no music is being played.
  • Noise is added in a pre-recorded sound when the home screen is switched between the one for recording and the one for playback while the pre-recording function is enabled. (This bug occurs in Version 1.10 only.)
  • When UM-ONE CONTROL is set to INPUT and LEVEL KNOB MODE is MIXER and then the R-88 is started, the input sound was not input.
Functionality Improvements
  • Inputting a hyphen (-) on the numerical value input screen is enabled.
  • The transmission accuracy of TIMECODE was improved.

Additional Functions
Please refer to the "Functions Added in R-88 Version 1.10 ( R-88_l_v110_addfunc_e01_W.pdf )" for detailed information.
  • Extended linking for input level and sensitivity
You can now link the input level and sensitivity of any desired inputs so that they can be adjusted together. You can create up to four groups and make link settings for them.
  • Input delay function
You can now adjust the timing of each channel in a range of 0.05 - 20 msec for recording.
  • Sensitivity gain boost function
You can now boost the sensitivity (nominal input level) gain by 6 dB. This lets you record lower-level audio.
  • Expanded low-cut filter
You can now set the cutoff frequency in a range of 60 - 250 Hz.
  • Support for polyphonic WAV
Polyphonic WAV has been added to the types of audio files that you can record. If you select polyphonic WAV, you'll be able to save up to eight channels of input in a single file.
  • Headphone output boost
You can now apply a digital boost of 12 dB to the headphone output. This lets you monitor low-level audio more clearly.
  • Expanded footswitch parameters
An "OFF" setting has been added to the assignable functions. This lets you prevent the R-88 from malfunctioning when something other than a footswitch is connected to the CONTROL 1, 2 jack.
  • Support for external MIDI controllers
You can now connect a separately sold UM-ONE mk2 USB MIDI interface and control the R-88 from an external device.
Functionality Improvements
  • Time lags of the [REC] button operation and the [STOP] button operation have been improved.
  • The operating speed when the number of projects is large or the size of the project is large has been improved.
  • Even when you open a window to set or delete a marker on a recorded project, touching buttons outside the window has been enabled.
  • Playing the data recorded in the R-44 has been enabled.

  • The time of the timecode changes when the Pre-Recording is used with TIMECODE MODE set to "REC-RUN".
  • Marks of the BWF files created in other devices cannot be read or a file may be damaged when the marks are written to the file using the R-88.
  • When the R-88 is used as a USB AUDIO I/F, the PEAK indicator may be turned on by playing the R-88 project.
  • Recording cannot be stopped when the error message "SD Card Slow" is displayed during the recording.
  • The progress bar is not displayed properly when a large-size project is copied.
