System ProgramAT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75 System Program Ver.1.20

This program is used to update the AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75 system software to the most recent version.

Update history

  • You can assign the "Load Next" function to the [ Manual ] button.
[ Updates in earlier version than Ver.1.20 ]
  • Added the "Exp. Curve" function.
    You can set the amount of effect applied when you step on the expression pedal.
  • Added the "EZ Touch" function.
    It turns "Initial Touch" off regardless of the registration's "Initial Touch" setting.
  • Added the "Language" function.
    You can specify the language in which confirmation messages and error messages are shown.
  • Added the "EZ One Finger" function.
    You can produce chords simply by playing one or two keys in the lower keyboard.
  • Added the "Music Assistant" function.
    You can recall panel settings by choosing a keyword.
  • Added the "Accomp Part Balance" function.
       You can adjust the volume balance of the arranger.

What you will need to update your AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75
  • AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75
  • USB Memory ( Roland's M-UF2G is recommended )
    * The USB Memory need to be formatted on a AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75.
  • A computer with a USB connector ( Windows, Mac )

Cautions with the update
  • We recommend that you save your user data to a USB memory before you perform the update. If a problem occurs and your user data is lost, you will be able to restore the original state by reloading the data you saved. For details on the procedure, refer to the following sections of the Owner's Manual.
  • Never apply this update data to any product other than the AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
  • Never power-off your AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75 while the update is in progress!
    If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75 won’t be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs.
  • We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.

Getting the update file
Please open/extract the downloaded “at30075_sys_v120.zip” file on your computer to get the update files in the “at30075_sys_v120” folder.

Procedure for the update
Please refer to the following procedure to install the extracted system program to your AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75.

Formatting USB Memory
* When you format a USB memory, all data stored in it will be erased.
  1. Turn on AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75.
  2. Connect a USB memory to the "External Memory connector".
  3. Press the [ Utility ] button.
    You'll enter Utility mode.
  4. Use the Menu [ < ] [ > ] buttons to select "Media Utility." And then press the [ Rec ] button.
  5. Use the Menu [ < ] [ > ] buttons to select "Format Media." And then press the [ Rec ] button.
  6. "Format Sure?" will appear in the display.
    Press [ Rec ] button. "Executing..." will appear in the display, and it will start to initialize the USB memory.
    * Press [ Reset ] to cancel the initialization process.
    * While the "Executing..." is displayed, you must not disconnect a USB memory or turn the power off.
  7. The displayed message "Executing..." is cleared when the USB memory initialization has completed.
    Turn off AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75 and then disconnect the USB memory.
Creating the USB memory for update
  1. Connect the USB memory to the USB connector of your computer.
  2. Copy the extracted "_R019_ATE" (folder) and "cka75_update.bin" (file) in the above to the root folder of the USB memory.
    * Copy not each content in the "_R019_ATE" folder, but the entire folder.
  3. Disconnect the USB memory from your computer as follows.
    [ Windows ]
    Use the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows task tray to un-mount the USB memory. And then disconnect the USB memory from your computer.
    [ Mac ]
    Drag the Drive icon of the USB memory into the trash in the dock. And then remove the USB memory from your computer.
Update Procedure

Never power-off your AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75 while the update is in progress!

  1. Leaving the power to the AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75 switched off; connect the USB Memory to the "External Memory connector".
  2. Hold down the Rotary Sound [On/Off] and Rotary Sound [Fast/Slow] button and turn on AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75.
    The update process starts with displaying on the screen the repeatedly as follows.
    The indicator of the Rotary Sound's [On/Off] button will be blinking slowly on updating.
  3. When the update completes, the message "Finished." will appear on the display.
    Then, the indicators of the Rotary Sound's [On/Off] and [Fast/Slow] buttons will be blinking quickly.
    Turn off the power of AT-300 / AT-100 / AT-75 after confirming the update completion.
    * You will take about five minutes to update.
  4. Detach the USB Memory and switch off the power to the unit.

Checking the version
If the update is successful, the version number will appear on the lower right of the display.
Confirm that it is "Ver.1.2"

When "ERROR:Data Sum" appears on the display
When the message "ERROR:Data Sum" appears on the display, formatting a USB memory or copying data may have been failed.
Please format the USB memory and copy the system program data again and then update once more.
